10 Reasons Why WWE Must Turn John Cena Heel Immediately
10. It'll Built Up Anticipation For His Return
It's unsure whether John Cena will be appearing on Raw tonight, but it's been confirmed that if he does, it will be his last show for two months - Cena is leaving to film a television show, and this break will be his longest since he needed neck surgery in 2008. To make matters worse, number two babyface Randy Orton is expected out for an undetermined length of time following a shoulder injury. If Cena turns heel before leaving, it could provide an ongoing storyline during his absence. Announcers can speculate about his actions, whomever he turns on can vow revenge, and Cena himself can appear via satellite or in taped videos to remind fans of his new attitude and further develop it. The turn would get fans talking, and hyping his return date weeks in advance would draw a larger rating than it would if the same old Cena were coming back. With The Undertaker-Wyatt Family showdown looming for Survivor Series, the company has a strong storyline in place for the following month. Backing up that feud with discussion of Cena's motivation would help make programming more fully compelling.
