10 Reasons Why WWE Must Turn John Cena Heel Immediately

9. New Feuds, New Possibilities

John Cena has been a babyface for 12 years. During that time, he's tangled with all of the company's top heels multiple times - and several of the good guys in face-versus-face dream matches. At this point, Cena's got a history with just about everyone on the roster, but a heel turn would be a fresh start - any feud of Cena's would have a different feel than it had in the past, even if it was with an old rival like Dolph Ziggler or Randy Orton. Most of the hot NXT talent and alumni fall on the babyface side, and as a heel, Cena could have compelling programs with any of them. Just as Cena-Kevin Owens was a fantastic feud (until the end, at least), Cena could work similar magic with Sami Zayn, Hideo Itami, Finn Balor, and Apollo Crews. Careful booking opposite Cena could turn any or all of those men into stars. The company could go even further and give Cena his own stable. Teaming up with lower card stars might not make sense, but what if WWE were to reach a deal with Kurt Angle and link him with Cena and Alberto Del Rio? Cena as the leader of a group of heels (all of whom are active wrestlers) could give up-and-coming babyfaces a force against which they can rally and feud.
