10 Reasons Why You NEED To Be Watching NWA Powerrr

8. Introducing Talent During The Opening Credits

Given how the NWA features some wrestlers who not all casual audiences will be familiar with, the brains behind the show use the genius concept of utilising Powerrr’s opening credits to introduce the stars who will be appearing on that particular episode.

This is clearly a small part of a vastly bigger picture, yet it’s a move that instantly attempts to give viewers a familiarity with the grapplers that they’re about to watch.

With Billy Corgan’s incarnation of the NWA being a relatively new addition to the wrestling world, trying to instil a sense of familiarity from the get-go just makes so much sense on so many levels – particularly when even savvy wrestling die-hards may not even be aware of some of the names who are a part of the NWA roster.

Likewise, the commentary team of Jim Cornette and Joe Galli, not to mention David Marquez, continue with this thought process by explaining who each wrestler is and getting the viewers up to speed on what each individual is about.
