10 Reasons Why You NEED To Be Watching NWA Powerrr

9. THAT Theme Tune

Looking to add one last piece of nostalgic fist-pumping to a wrestling show? It doesn’t get much more fist-pumping and hair metal-tastic than a blast of Dokken. And so, that’s exactly what the NWA has done for its Powerrr programming.

Deciding to pick up Dokken’s 1984 shoulder-twitching banger Into the Fire, NWA Powerrr has instantly giving itself the best opening theme tune of any wrestling product out there.

Not only was Into the Fire a big favourite of metalheads upon its initial release, it also grabbed itself a further boost in popularity – and a place in cult movie history – after being used in 1987’s A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. That movie also featured the Dream Warriors title track from Dokken, too.

The point here is, if you hear the opening tune to NWA Powerrr and don’t find yourself nodding in approval, well, clearly you're already dead inside.

On the flipside of the badass Into the Fire theme, NWA Powerrr further stands out from the pack in the way that it doesn't use any other music on the show. Even though it was something that was commonplace for decades, it now feels fresh and different to see wrestlers heading to the ring with no fancy entrance music or overly-choreographed movements.
