10 Reasons Why You NEED To Be Watching NWA Powerrr
6. The Stars Talk Like Real People
“Something, something, something… Big Dog… something, something, something… Burn It Down… something, something, something… Boss Time.”
Thankfully, the sort of trash dialogue above is something you absolutely, unequivocally will not hear on NWA Powerrr. That’s not to say that names like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Sasha Banks are necessarily bad promos, per sé, but it’s more a case of the NWA allowing their performers to talk in their own voice, with their own mannerisms, and, most importantly, with words that actually sound natural and real.
For so long, it’s seemed as if a natural, unforced promo was well and truly a lost art. That, of course, is down to the meticulously scripted nature of WWE promos for the past decade or more. Now, in 2019, wrestling fans are being given wrestlers who are afforded the opportunity to find their voice on a mainstream stage. And while AEW has recently received plaudits for doing just that, so too should the National Wrestling Alliance.
Seasoned talents such as Nick Aldis, James Storm, and Eli Drake are all great talkers that many fans are familiar with, but NWA Powerrr works just as well when it offers up a microphone to the more unknown wrestlers, such as Ricky Starks and Joe Cephus.
