10 Reasons Why You Need To Respect The Miz

2. Miz And Morrison

Initially competing for the ECW Title against one another, The Miz and John Morrison had become individual highlights of WWE's Tuesday night wasteland during a 2007 talent-share period with the moderately more successful Smackdown brand.

Their humorously acrimonious relationship would earn them a Tag Team Championship match against fellow odd couple titleholders Matt Hardy & MVP.

Profiteering from MVP's long-awaited brutal turn on Hardy, the two scooped the gold and almost overnight became one of the hottest commodities in the entire company.

As well as defending the titles on ECW and Smackdown, they regularly made it to the monthly Pay-Per-Views and even occasionally Monday Night Raw as the company's interest in the first brand extension began to wane.

Buoyant, the two started a riotous WWE.com show called 'The Dirt Sheet', which became a cult hit in an era pre-dating the company YouTube channel or masses of digestible video content online.

Mocking their opponents and often themselves with stupid costumes and self-aggrandising ignorance, the episodes became the talk of the WWE, and in tandem with their in-ring proficiency, secured Miz and Morrison's place as key players for nearly two years.

Safe hands in a dismal time for doubles, they remain one of WWE's few contemporary adverts for legitimately successful tag teams.
