10 Reasons WrestleMania 33 Could Have Been The Best Ever
9. Cena Vs. Undertaker Could Have Been A True Spectacle
It seems every year The Undertaker tells people behind-the-scenes that the upcoming WrestleMania is going to be his last ride. It sounds like people are taking him more seriously this go-around.
At 51-years-old, the dude is beat up. The thought of him taking any sort of big power move is scary, but still, 'Mania wouldn’t be the same without The Dead Man. If he’s going to go out, then WWE should have delivered the biggest opponent they had left for him: John Cena.
WrestleMania is all about delivering those dream matches that fans thought they’d never see: Cena vs. The Rock, Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior and Sting vs. Triple H. Yes, Cena and 'Taker have battled before, but not on a major show since Cena became the face of the company. It could have happened at any point during the last few years, but management never got around to it. This may have been their last chance.
Unless Roman is going to turn heel, fans are going to hate Vince’s pet project being forced into the coveted 'Taker 'Mania match. They would have been more interested in seeing Cena in that spot. Cena himself even alluded to it on SmackDown! Sure, fans would still boo him too, but most would at least respect the fact that he’s earned it.
The spectacle created from those two legends facing off in front of tens of thousands of fans would have been the true kind of WrestleMania moment that's hard to come by.
