10 Reasons WrestleMania 33 Could Have Been The Best Ever

3. Rollins Could Have Been Booked A Lot Better

A year ago, Seth Rollins vs. Triple H would have sounded like a pretty big match. And it should have been. But the storyline has been largely terrible.

The major problem is that Rollins has been hard to sympathize with, because The Authority kicked him out of their little group. A more babyface move would have seen him learn the errors of his way and turn his back on Hunter and Steph. That would begin a months long feud to culminate at 'Mania. But WWE kept Rollins heel after he returned from injury, so he could feud with Roman Reigns in the impossible task of trying to get people to like him. When he did turn, it lacked any sort of punch, because there was no official moment. It just kind of happened.

The angle stumbled along, because Seth has been unable to cut a good babyface promo, and Hunter gets to continually look like the smartest guy in the room. The two may still put on a great match, but The Game’s annual 'Mania appearance feels like his least special one since WrestleMania XXVI when he battled Sheamus.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
