10 Reasons WrestleMania 33 Will Be Better Than 32
1. Unpredictability
Each of the points I've made to this point can be summed up in one closing argument: the fact that WWE is in as good a position as it is means that the possibilities going into WM 33 are far more open than they were a year ago.
For a whole range of reasons WWE were shoe-horned into creative decisions last year and even the most wild and out-there ideas like a Shane/Taker HIAC match couldn't shake the air of predictability (many fans also correctly recognised that this match was almost certainly going to come down to a 'Shane off the Cell' spot). HHH was never going to leave the show as champion and even the matches where the winner could not be pinpointed, like the IC ladder match or the Andre Battle Royal, felt more as though they were filling a space on the card rather than demanding their spot.
Don't be surprised if those new conventions are abandoned or relegated to the pre-show, as WWE has proven over the past year that they have the talent and the structure in place to have several options for every spot on the card. Who would have thought a year ago that we'd be excited about the role The Miz will play as IC Champion at WM? Or which women's division will churn out the more meaningful feud? Or whether Kevin Owens will go in as a world champion?
Sure there are some obvious matches to be had like Rollins/HHH and a Lesnar/Goldberg rematch but the rest of the card is wide open, meaning not only the run-up but the event itself will be more exciting than its predecessor.
