One of the clever aspects of WWE's booking is that the smarks are now going to be getting worked.

The mentality existed in sections of the crowd that booing Reigns was going to derail his career. But the way WWE has set up this Styles feud, it is clear that they now want the boos to be part of The Big Dog's story.

What that means is the smarks are now being worked, and they are going to play into the story of Reigns as "not a bad guy, not a good guy, but THE guy".
