10 Reasons WWE Champion Brock Lesnar Is Worth $5 Million A Year

8. His Pairing With Paul Heyman

Traditionally, the purpose of a manager in pro wrestling has always been to help get a talent over who was struggling to do so on his own, usually due to their lack of charisma and inability to cut promos. The manager would then handle promo duties while the wrestler did his part in the matches, and thus the two complemented each other well. The history of wrestling has seen some amazing partnerships between wrestlers and their managers. Jim Cornette and The Midnight Express, Bobby Heenan and Nick Bockwinkel and J.J. Dillon and The Four Horsemen are just a few of the many outstanding tandems that come to mind. But there is perhaps no better manager/wrestler combination in all of wrestling€™s storied history than that of Paul Heyman and his client, Brock Lesnar. Never has there been a performer more adept at getting over the imposing nature of his charge, more talented at selling the importance of an appearance and more proficient at drawing heat from the audience while keeping the spotlight on the wrestler by his side than Paul Heyman. The former ECW head honcho has truly reached his apex as an onscreen character, delivering some of the best promos we€™ve ever heard on a week-by-week basis. And the most impressive thing is he seems to top himself with each one. The pairing of the two has taken both men to another level, and it would be a crime to deprive wrestling fans of so many awesome segments.
