10 Reasons WWE Champion Brock Lesnar Is Worth $5 Million A Year

9. Classic Matches

Let€™s take a look at Brock Lesnar€™s body of work since returning to action for the company that made hims a star. His debut match against John Cena at Extreme Rules 2012 was a beautiful symphony of violence that more closely resembled an MMA fight/street brawl than it did a wrestling competition. His trilogy with Triple H didn€™t exactly set the world on fire, but sometimes even two elite workers just don€™t have the proper chemistry together, but he followed that up with a match of the year candidate against CM Punk at last year€™s SummerSlam and then chopped Big Show down like a dead oak tree at the Royal Rumble. While his streak-breaking win over The Undertaker might not have been a technical classic, it€™s a match that will always be remembered for the shocking nature of the outcome. And of course he followed that up with a match that, while not a masterpiece in the traditional sense, was a tremendously compelling in-ring story in which we witnessed the invulnerable superman Cena getting suplexed into oblivion. There are very few talents on the roster who can create the kind of gripping drama that Brock can when he€™s in the ring. Whether it€™s the classic David vs. Goliath formula or the spectacle of seeing to monsters lock horns, Lesnar can always be counted on for a good-to-great match that the fans will be emotionally invested in.
