7. Curses At Opponents On TV

And this just isn't at house shows, filmed on someone's iPhone. These profane outbursts are on the WWE's flagship show, Raw, in High Def. You might say, "Oh what's the problem? They're participating in a testosterone-laden form of entertainment, it's not the end of the world!" But the PG rating would indicate otherwise. Raw airs live, with little room for censoring on the fly. Those little kids holding "RKO" signs, or perhaps more importantly, their parents, might not appreciate Orton's failure to censor himself. What sort of "face of the company" conducts himself in this fashion? If the WWE wasn't trying to market itself as family friendly, this wouldn't be so glaring. When Orton loses his patience with an opponent, and that seems to happen a lot, he cannot contain himself. And yet, he gets excessive amounts of screen time and great glory. How can this feel to the guys in the locker room who work just as hard, if not harder, and are able to restrain themselves when they're frustrated in the ring? Orton sets a terrible example to fans, and to the wrestlers who are supposed to aspire to be like him.
