10 Reasons WWE Doesn't Attract New Fans
6. Boring Wrestling
At its best, wrestling is a spectacle like no other. Two incredible athletes step into a ring, pull off death defying moves, and seemingly do everything in their power to hurt each other as badly as possible, while in fact not leaving a mark. It’s wonderful.
At its worst, it’s dull as hell. It’s Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton lying on the canvas in a chin lock for the fifth time this year. It’s Baron Corbin trudging around the ring with all the energy of an elderly snail. An entertainment form which should be bright and sparkling becomes grey and dingy.
WWE has a fantastic roster of wrestlers. Perhaps the best they’ve ever had. From 205 Live right up to Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, and Brock Lesnar, they have talent capable of going out into that ring and putting on a show that you will never forget. However, too often they seem to go back to those wrestlers who love their chin locks. If you were tuning in for the first time, would you bother to stick around?
