10 Reasons WWE Doesn't Attract New Fans
5. The Fans
Wrestling fans can be great. They can come together and do wonderful things; whether that be raising money for charity, getting behind ex-wrestlers in need of help, or pushing their guy to the top. However, they can also be cruel. They are wickedly condescending, and they can make other people feel bad about not knowing as much as they do.
It's an issue that comes from all corners. The WWE fans think they’re at the top of the mountain and nothing is better. The New Japan fans think that their wrestling is the best and nothing can touch it. The GFW fans… well, they’re probably around somewhere. The point is, it’s a divided fan base, with a million different opinions bumping heads.
Which can be scary if you’re a newcomer. You’re not going to want to express an opinion about something when there’s a chance that twenty people will jump down your throat for it. Learning about something new should be fun, but it’s only fun if the people who already know about it help you out rather than hinder you.
