9. Different Rosters, Same Creative Team
For all the talk of NXT callups and returning wrestlers, no amount of talent of talent can hide bland storytelling. No matter how the draft plays up, fans are still going to be left with the same creative team writing the same stories, and that’s a big reason to be pessimistic.
Do we really trust the team that brought Seth Rollins back as a heel when the world was clamouring for a face turn? Are we supposed to put faith in writers whose idea of a feud is booking Apollo Crews and Sheamus or Rusev and Titus O’Neil against each other against for months on end?
Perhaps the switch-up will reinvigorate WWE’s creative team, but the evidence suggests otherwise.
