10 Reasons WWE Fans Should Be Worried About The Women’s Revolution
1. Ronda Rousey’s Impregnation Vacation
From Cindy Lauper to Mike Tyson, Vince McMahon has always been a sucker for celebrity to give his product a bit of mainstream attention and credibility. That’s why Mr T and Lawrence Taylor were given coveted places in WrestleMania main events.
Charlotte Flair might be the women’s divisions most dependable worker and Becky Lynch the most popular superstar in the company but Ronda Rousey was the one real mainstream celebrity in this year’s WrestleMania main event and she came with some mouthwatering MMA legitimacy.
This is not to downplay Ronda’s accomplishments. She deserves every credit for an incredible debut year in WWE. She’s anything but an unskilled celeb who needs carrying or protecting with smoke and mirrors.
But Vince mcmahon’s hard on for celebrity is as understandable as it is transparent. Ronda was also one of the company’s few legitimate needle movers.
Now she’s gone to start a family and despite recent hints on YouTube, a question mark hangs over her sports entertainment future. Becky might have walked away with the belts but her star, along with the rest of the division, has shone a little less brightly with Ronda no longer around.
