Even if we put aside the Saudi shows, men still dominate WWE pay-per-views. Stomping Grounds featured just two womens’ matches on the entire card. Money In The Bank 2019 faired slightly better with 3-4 womens’ bouts depending if you count Bayley’s cash in, but the men still had seven matches between them. Plus, more men were represented as unlike the women they didn’t have three different superstars wrestle twice. Tag Title holders the IIconics can’t even make it onto a kick off show.

WrestleMania, despite its much vaunted main event, went on for hours and had 16 matches on the card. Only three of them featured women.

It would help if WWE held some sort of all-female PPV to redress the balance. You know, like they did last year.

Sadly they’ve gone a bit quiet on the subject and it’s not looking like a second Evolution PPV is on the cards. Perhaps it’s because they’ve lost the one Superstar whose match, once announced, seemed to really shift tickets. The same superstar who was front and centre of the events promotional materials. You know the one...
