10 Reasons WWE Fans Should Boycott WrestleMania 31

1. Roman Reigns In The Main Event

Roman Reigns isn't ready. That's not to say Reigns will never be ready but right now, in 2015, he is not ready. Reigns was one of the breakout stars of 2014 but being in the Shield allowed him to hide his shortcomings in the ring. Reigns was extremely over with the audience, his Superman punch and spear were solid moves that the crowd reacted to and they enjoyed Reigns as the enforcer of the Shield. However, now that Reigns has gone solo he is forced to work singles matches on a regular basis and his limited moveset and selling ability is being exposed. Add to that the absolutely horrific promos that he has been cutting lately and you have a recipe for disaster. Word is that Vince McMahon is personally scripting Reign's promos and they have absolutely devalued him in the eyes of the fans. His Cena-lite promos come off as stupid, forced, and terrible. If those promos are in fact the work of Vince McMahon, then he is more out of touch than any of us had originally imagined. Plus, it's common knowledge that Reigns has been tapped as "The Man" even though the audience doesn't want him to be that. Adding that all together gave us the Royal Rumble where Reigns got his big victory and the crowd booed the crap out of him. WWE did its best to drown out the boos by cranking up the volume on Reign's theme music but there was no hiding the venom that was spewed during the match. Crowd favorites like Cesaro, Ziggler, Bryan, and Ambrose were all tossed and cast aside while Roman Reigns got the spotlight. Wrestling fans in Philadelphia soundly rejected their new "hero" and did everything short of pelting the ring with garbage (which would have been awesome). In any event, something drastic needs to happen between now and Wrestlemania or else WWE could face their new babyface "superstar" being booed out of the arena.
