10 Reasons WWE Need To End The Brand Split (Again)
4. The Women And Tag Divisions Are Thin
I just want you to close your eyes and ask yourself: what has actually happened in the SmackDown women's division in the last year? If your answer was "absolutely crap-all," you would be correct. Seemingly in an effort to strip the division of all intrigue, the show has lumped the women all together in one continuous narrative chock-full of inconsequential tag matches and filler feuds. I bet you forgot Carmella has a Money in the Bank briefcase. I bet she has as well!
SmackDown's women have it worst, but it's a problem that's plain to see with the women and tag divisions on both shows. Poor Cesaro and Sheamus were stuck wrestling Seth Rollins and his buddies for months because WWE realized there was absolutely no one else for them to feud with. With the brand split, the midcard divisions have suffered with dwindled talent pools. It's a shame, because between RAW and SmackDown, the collected talent is there, but the wall prevents it from showing. Thus, everyone gets overexposed and tired.
