4. The Fans Want Him

Fans want what they want and they want it right now; in fact, they usually want it yesterday. This could not be more true than in the case of Sting, who fans have wanted for so many years now. Signing him then dangling him in front of the fans was cruel and unusual punishment in the eyes of many. The truth is, Sting is wanted on WWE programming. Most fans likely understand that the company would not want to make that move without a solid plan in place but that does nothing to quell the desire to see him. He is a proven commodity, a legend that has drawing power and when that is combined with the McMahon promotional machine, only good things can happen. Showing his face on 2K15 commercials has surely just been a way to test the crowds, to see if the reactions would be positive or not. After all, just his gimmick and history in the industry may not be enough to get him over with fans today. WWE must be sure the crowd is prepped and ready for his arrival. That arrival cannot wait until next year, the fans want him now. 2014 is as good a time as any and when he shows up, the WWE faithful will finally feel like they've gotten what they wanted.
