10 Reasons Why WWE Owner Vince McMahon Just Lost $842 Million

2. Vince Failed To Convince

Despite the failings of "tv experts" to see the value in WWE, you ultimately have to say that the buck stops with Vince McMahon as CEO and Chairman for not winning people around to the value of his company. His failure to convince has led to him being down $842 million. He should have been in classic McMahon mode: charming, forceful, winning. Instead he has emerged from TV rights negotiations with minimal increases. He obviously made no impact in talks and failed to communicate just why this is a great time to bet on the WWE. All the investment WWE has made in the future, all the secure audience of the current time, how can you not make that sound like a winning proposition for the TV companies? Vince found a way to mess this up and let the potential increases slide away. At 68 years old, maybe the chairman is losing some of his fire, but then again, Triple H was also involved in those negotiations as was the rest of the board. Someone was culpable somewhere in WWE and we await to see if any heads roll over the failures.
