The benefit of having a legitimate athlete on your roster is that the mainstream media is more likely to pay attention to you. Brock has been the UFC heavyweight champion of the world and that's not something that many men can claim. This is the same Brock Lesnar who defeated the legendary Randy Couture and beat Frank Mir in a matter of minutes. Brock has been on SportsCenter before and his name is recognizable to most sports fans. Wrestling doesn't have a whole lot of mainstream media coverage these days (unless you count mocking as coverage), so WWE should be looking for all the press it can get. WWE had the right idea when Lesnar defeated the Undertaker at WrestleMania. While it may not have been the popular choice for fans, it did get people talking about WWE once again and provide a legitimate "did you see that?" moment.
