Whatever you think of the current state of WWE, there are a few things that seem to make repeat appearances amongst most common criticisms of the product: there are a lot of brilliant athletes not being used to their full potential, the storylines aren't quite as captivating as they could be, and there's an unpredictability about the weekly shows sorely lacking compared to years gone by. It's for those reasons and more that we put it to you that it's time to officially re-instate the WWE Hardcore Championship. "But it's a PG era!" we hear you cry. We'll get to that, and any other questions you may have, in this handy, ten-point guide to why bringing back the funnest WWE title in history is a guaranteed ratings-smasher. Let's do this...

10. It'd Give Some Underused Talent Some Extra Screen Time

Neville, Cesaro, Wade Barrett, The Miz, Dean Ambrose...the list of talented and/or entertaining superstars that have struggled for relevant or interesting angles over the last year or so goes on, and that's fine - this isn't here to aim pot-shots at WWE Creative and suchlike. That said, bringing back the Hardcore Title would give a ton of wrestlers something to do until they're ready to be slotted into something that can give them a real push. Not sure what to do with Neville? Red Arrow off a dustbin! Unsure about Cesaro fitting into the current world title picture? BIG SWING ON TWO BROOMS INTO SANDOW! It's a short-term solution, but it's a start.
