10 Reasons WWE Should Remove Donald Trump From Hall Of Fame

If there’s one thing everyone, regardless of political leaning, has learned during this election cycle, it’s to expect the unexpected with Donald Trump. Just when you think he’s crossed a line that no person should ever cross and that he surely will pull back after the latest inflammatory comment, Trump ups the ante, doubles-down and charges ahead unabashed.

And that’s the real risk. It’s why sponsors bailed on the Republican National Convention. It’s why many prominent Republicans are at odds with themselves, as they don’t want to ensure a Hillary Clinton presidency, but they can’t bring themselves to vote for Trump. It’s why people in other countries have gone beyond watching this as a curiosity to being genuinely worried about the November election.

There’s a very real concern of what Trump could say or do next. We didn’t even touch on a lot of the specific things he’s said and done. If you’re an executive at WWE, wouldn’t you take a look at all the negative press, all the groups Trump has insulted, the fact that you’ve already removed Hulk Hogan from the Hall of Fame, and do the same with Donald Trump?

The WWE Hall of Fame might be a joke in some ways – an arbitrary collection of wrestlers and celebrities for a predetermined sporting event – but if WWE takes it and its company seriously, it should evaluate one of its more (in)famous members and decide if it’s worth it to keep Trump enshrined.
