10 Reasons WWE Should Remove Donald Trump From Hall Of Fame

9. Negative Press

There’s an old adage that goes “There’s no such thing as bad press”. But WWE might want to consider its standing as a publicly traded, family entertainment company when it comes to Donald Trump.

Current WWE executive Triple H dry humping a mannequin to simulate necrophilia is distasteful and horrid in today’s world, but at least Hunter can note that it was just part of a storyline. Trump saying he doesn’t like war veterans who get caught and become POWs… that’s not him playing a character.

And for those who don’t think that Trump is being connected to WWE, a simple Google search for news articles from the past month yielded this piece detailing Trump’s connection to the company, this article chronicling the Battle of the Billionaires, and a New York Daily News piece that summed up the relationship thusly:

“And he’s had a long romance with World Wrestling Entertainment, whose lowest-common-denominator insults, cartoonish machismo and fake fighting were a perfect precursor to his presidential run”.

Maybe there is such a thing as bad press.
