10 Reasons WWE Should Remove Donald Trump From Hall Of Fame

8. Xenophobia

Really, this item could have been broken into multiple entries, but let’s sum it up under one header: Donald Trump’s rhetoric during this presidential run have been nothing short of xenophobic, insulting and singling out entire groups of people, isolating them and encouraging supporters to harbor similar negative feelings toward them.

Without going into a blow-by-blow, Trump has blanket-insulted Mexicans, saying that undocumented immigrants are rapists and murderers, and pledged to build a wall along the Mexican/U.S. border and deport all 11 million illegal immigrants. He has called for banning Muslims from entering the country (a stance he has since modified slightly) and routinely stokes the flames about “radical Islam” whenever possible.

Keep in mind that Mexico is a country with a rich wrestling history and heritage, and WWE has tried to make in-roads into the Latino market multiple times. The company has pushed stars like Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio and Sin Cara in an effort to draw in more Latino fans, and WWE reportedly has just signed luchador Gran Metalik to a contract.

As for the anti-Muslim comments, it should be noted that being a Muslim is about religion (Islam), not an ethnicity. So anyone can be a Muslim (with 1.5 billion people practicing Islam around the world), such as WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki and current superstar Sami Zayn.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
