10 Reasons WWE Shouldn't Bring Back Alberto Del Rio

7. Disastrous Relationship With Paige

Alberto Del Rio and Paige were in the wrestling news for the better part of 2016 and 2017 due to their tumultuous relationship. It would be one thing if they had their trials and tribulations here and there, but it seemed as though Paige's career took a turn for the worse around the time she started seeing Del Rio.

From the strange stabbing incident to the affair at the airport, Paige never seemed to catch a break during her time away from the squared circle. It was only inevitable that they went their separate ways, and once they parted in 2017, Paige appeared to be infinitely happier. She officially returned to WWE TV that November.

WWE has hosted rocky relationships in the past, but the parties involved were usually separated by the Brand Extension or enough time had passed since the breakup. Del Rio could very well be put back on SmackDown Live while Paige remains on Raw, but it has barely been six months since the split and they'd be under the same roof for the monthly pay-per-views.

It seemed that Del Rio was an awful influence on Paige, and putting them anywhere near each other any time soon could create more unnecessary drama.
