10 Reasons WWE SmackDown Is Already Better Than Raw

9. Face Authority Figures

The heel authority figure is the most overused trope in wrestling. Whether you are tuning into Raw or taking in your local indie show, the odds are you are going to come face to face with a guy in charge who is a bit of a meanie.

And while Raw has tried to temper that part of Stephanie McMahon's character by introducing the always lovable Mick Foley to stand by her side, we all know what's coming. We've already seen her publicly rip Roman Reigns apart, and it won't be long till she goes back to being the Wicked Witch of the West.

On SmackDown, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan do nothing of the sort. They are nice guys who want the best for their show. They talk to the heels and the faces, and they give everyone an equal playing field. Much like William Regal in NXT, they feel like the kind of people who could run a real wrestling promotion, and that's a refreshing thing to see.
