10 Reasons WWE's Post-ThunderDome Era Is The GOAT
1. Long-Term Storylines Are The New Normal
On top of the building of various super popular babyfaces, presenting the IC title as a strap worth winning, making tag team wrestling feel important again, and talented celeb faces bringing in their various fanbases, one mesmerising saga has turned a once rather tired sports entertainment product into one of the biggest things on TV.
Rather than simply sprinting through the drama like usual in a rush to move onto the next thing for 'The Tribal Chief' or even just making it up as they went along, the company, Roman Reigns, and Paul Heyman have patiently crafted one of the longest running stories ever to grace WWE programming.
And in the process, 'The Head of the Table' has been able to turn himself into the biggest attraction in the industry whilst also giving The Usos, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens the platform to produce some of the strongest performances of their careers, too.
As already noted, it's not all been plain sailing, of course, and for every legendary Royal Rumble angle there's been another occasion when the Story possibly should've been Finished.
But there's no denying how much the likes of this long-term Bloodline saga, the current Judgment Day drama, and Cody Rhodes' mission to win the belt his father never lifted have connected with fans over the last few years.
And all this long-lasting wrestling theatre has helped turn this current era into arguably the most successful in WWE history.
