10 Reasons You Should Be Watching WWE Mixed Match Challenge

As much as Mixed Match Challenge is clearly an experiment for WWE in deciding whether social media formats are a viable medium for isolated storytelling, it's also another showcase for the company's philanthropic side. Every partnership on the show is fighting for charities, including UNICEF and Girl Up, with the winning couple netting a $100,000 donation for their chosen cause and every eliminated charity receiving $1,000 for competing.

There's no doubt that WWE invests heavily in philanthropic pursuits, whether it's their own efforts in building Connor's Cure or the annual support of Susan G. Komen during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Fans enjoy the opportunity to cynically bring up Stephanie McMahon's tweet from 2015, calling philanthropy "the future of marketing". Whatever the motivation, though, anything that results in more money for good causes is undoubtedly positive.

It's for this reason that fans should support Mixed Match Challenge, sending a message to the company that incorporating charitable giving into the in-ring competition is the kind of idea that audiences want to see happen again.
