You may have noticed a certain theme throughout this list: The majority of these recent star-making performances have come from wrestlers who didn't actually have their hand raised at the end of the contest.

Sure enough, Jey Uso also falls into that category, but once again the result simply did not matter come the conclusion of this year's Clash of Champions.

During the build-up to this cousin vs. cousin Universal Championship showdown, the newly badass Roman Reigns had regularly reminded his own blood that he simply wasn't on his level and this upcoming match was merely a surprising pay-day for the tag team star. But, it was clearly so much more to the twin who'd spent his life being asked, 'Which one are you?'

Producing the performance of his life in the biggest in-ring moment of his career, Jey attacked, bumped and sold like the main event-level babyface his cousin arrogantly claimed he could never be. All before being pummelled into oblivion by the increasingly unsettling 'Tribal Chief' and forcing his brother to stop the match.

But Jey never quit and in doing so he suddenly established himself as WWE's latest organic, plucky, underdog star.

When a talent is drafted before the Mysterios, one of the most promising names in the company (Big E) and Mr. Money in the Bank, that should tell all you need to know about what the future holds for this unanticipated SmackDown hit.
