A year ago, back when AEW Dynamite was in its infancy, if someone told you arguably one of the most over performers in the company would be a dude who wrestles with his hands in his pockets, you probably would've chuckled right in their face.

But, a year is a long time and something rather insane happened mid-way through this particular 12 month spell.

After spending weeks and months acting like he'd rather be anywhere else but locking up with AEW's finest, Orange Cassidy was finally booked in his first ever singles match for the company at Revolution against 'The Bastard' PAC. Only this time, his Best Friend pals revealed that he was actually going to 'try'.

The crowd went wild at this announcement on the Dynamite prior to the PPV, but that was nothing compared to the sound which met Cassidy during the eventual showdown.

After producing a few flickers of offence throughout the match, Cassidy finally let rip and the roof of the Wintrust Arena very nearly took off. Proving once and for all that he possessed the ability to go toe to toe with one of the best on the planet, 'Freshly Squeezed' went from light-hearted comic relief to bonafide superstar in one jaw-dropping encounter.

Seriously, go back and watch some of the reactions which went down during this bout. It'll send shivers up your spine... and also make you deeply depressed remembering what live crowds used to sound like.
