10 Recent Star-Making Wrestling Performances Nobody Saw Coming
4. Keith Lee Outshines The Big Dog For NXT Vs. Raw Vs. SmackDown
When NXT suddenly crashed the main roster Survivor Series party in 2019, you had a feeling something special was on the horizon. However, few people foresaw the black and gold brand actually coming out on top by the end of the historic PPV. But win they did and a number of rising stars more than made a game-changing impact on the night.
Yet, one particular performer, who had been slowly gathering a bit of momentum on Wednesday nights, unexpectedly walked out of the show as the most in-demand man in the company.
We're talking of course about the unstoppable Keith Lee, a star who almost single handedly toppled two thirds of The Shield in the closing stretch of an anything but typical Survivor Series Elimination match.
Sure, he wasn't able to conquer The Big Dog and earn NXT yet another point on the board that night, but he did enough to get people talking and they would continue to do so right up until the moment he made his Monday Night Raw debut in August 2020.
Things may not have gone exactly to plan so far since officially joining the main roster, but the former NXT and North American Champion has proven before that he is absolutely capable of making himself the centre of attention when we all least expect it.
