2. American Alpha

American Alpha were inexplicably struggling for virtually the entire tenure of their time together on the main roster, but splitting them only a year removed from genre-defining matches with The Revival still seems imprudent.

Ignoring the worst case of WWE marginalisation Shelton Benjamin's experienced since Vince McMahon referred to Michael Tarver as 'Shelton' in a talent meeting, their separation has been as disastrous as their brief stint on Tuesday nights.

Whilst Chad Gable tries yet again to make the tastiest chicken salad out of the creative chicken sh*t in his newfound circumstances on SmackDown Live!, Jason Jordan is already up to his neck in the lethal quagmire of audience resentment and indifference after the disjointed revelation that he was Raw General Manager Kurt Angle's biological son.

Largely oblivious to the boos/silence (delete as appropriate) in his role as super-smiley babyface, Jordan wins more than he loses, but has already been cast as something of a nepotistic beneficiary despite not yet having much to show for being the boss' son. Furthermore, if he does aim to capitalise on his connections, WWE will quickly have to turn him heel, which would be wasteful considering the electric babyface fire he's exhibited in the past.
