2. Return Of A Bad Ass

The Undertaker spoke at length about the mental torture of dealing with retirement on his epic 'Last Ride' documentary series. Before bowing out though, the legend knew that he had one last reinvention in him, and that'd come shortly before WrestleMania 36. Thank God it did.

Things were getting a bit upsetting for 'The Deadman'.

When he wasn't sucking wind in botched matches over in Saudi Arabia (Goldberg, D-Generation X etc), 'Taker was showing up on TV to say nothing of note whenever WWE needed a ratings boost. Something had to change, and he knew what that 'something' was. Before battling AJ Styles at 'Mania in what would become a cinematic cracker, 'Taker brought back his 'American Bad Ass' character.

This was a significant improvement over the worn out 'Phenom' persona he'd played uninterrupted since 2004. After 16 years of that (and around four-five years of mediocrity laced with a few bright spots), fans needed to remember how kick ass The Undertaker could be when motivated.
