10 Recent Times WWE Hit The Upgrade Button

1. Bayley Going Cocky

When Bayley first turned heel last year, she didn't change a thing. Then, in time for SmackDown's jump to FOX, she switched up her look and tried to play a serious, stoic Women's Champ who didn't have time for hugging or anyone's sh*t. The transition was not smooth.

Recent months have been better; Bayley has moved away from gurning and now plays a sarcastic, playful bitch character who knows how good she is and wants to rub that in everyone's faces. This is so much better than the lite-Chris Jericho circa 2008 gimmick she was trying to be before, and she's visibly more comfortable with how things are now.

Bayley is having a blast alongside Sasha Banks, and that energy comes across.

Being cocky and witty suits her far better than being super-serious and intimidating did. It was like she and WWE's writers forced the issue at first. Thankfully, they were smart enough to realise that things weren't clicking and let Bayley take ownership of her character.
