WWE: 10 Wrestlers Who Had Multiple Finishing Moves
8. Eddie Guerrero
Finishers: Frog Splash (1995 - death), Gory Special (adapted from late-father), Top Rope Hurricarana (2000), and Lasso from El Paso (2002-2003). Since the death of his tag team partner, Art Barr, in 1994, the late Eddie Guerrero adopted Barr's frog splash as his go-to finisher. While not as pretty as Barr's, Guerrero's frog splash brought him more success than Barr, as it was the frog splash that led Guerrero to pinning Brock Lesnar in 2004 for the WWE Championship. The Gory Special- a back-to-back backbreaker submission- was used sparingly by Guerrero throughout his ECW, WCW, and WWF/E careers. He also briefly used a top-rope hurricarana after returning to WWF following an arm-injury in 2000. In the second half of 2002, Smackdown! was engulfed with wrestling showcases almost night-in and night-out by the infamous "Smackdown Six," consisting of: Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Edge, Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, and Eddie. At this time, the matches would get very heated, very athletic, and very scientific. To that end, "submission" wrestling picked up quite a bit with those six, and to his credit, Eddie adopted a submission maneuver to his list, the "Lasso From El Paso," a combination of a cloverleaf and Jericho's "Lion Tamer" from WCW. While rarely used after the "Smackdown Six" run came to an end, Guerrero would pull it out every once in awhile when needed to make a statement.
