10 Recent WWE Burials We Just Can't Explain

7. The Revival

"F*ck The Revival eh, PAL? Ha Ha Ha!" Asked and answered by Dash, Dawson and Vince McMahon respectively over the past few months, if rumours are to be believed.

The NXT icons supposedly requested their release after months - nay - years of bad booking on the main roster, but were suddenly gifted a stint with the Monday Night Raw doubles straps in an effort to right numerous creative wrongs.

WWE simply toyed with the pair after flattering their fan-driven fantasies.

Rarely assuming actual control of a flailing Raw Tag division, The Revival lost to Aleister Black and Ricochet more times than they beat them thanks to those all-important non-title setup clashes, then lost the belts to the flagship's actual biggest loser Curt Hawkins and his longstanding partner Zack Ryder in an uninspired WrestleMania pre-show clash. Then failed to win them back the next night when most fans would have bet their houses on the babyfaces getting bantered off.

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder took lots of pictures with their shared-sisters-in-suffering Sasha Banks and Bayley when both groups sported gold. Those moments were what they'd clearly all signed up for when they gave their bodies to the industry. Just about everything beyond that has been a bust.
