10 Remarkable Achievements By WWE Midcarders

3. Bam Bam Bigelow Main-Events WrestleMania

Celebrities have always been part and parcel of Wrestlemania, as their involvement usually attracts the attention of the media outlets that most of the time ignore wrestling and WWE on the whole. While most celebrities act as managers, special referees, announcers etc., by Wrestlemania XI, one celebrity found themselves in a match; and thanks to the power of celebrity, midcarder Bam Bam Bigelow got to close the show at Wrestlemania XI, in a one-on-one match versus professional American football player Lawrence Taylor. The main event of Wrestlemania is the most coveted spot in the entire wrestling world, and is usually reserved for championship matches and only the very best wrestlers in the world. In Wrestlemania XI's case, the likes of Bret Hart, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and reigning WWE Champion Diesel, were all relegated to further down the card. Bigelow, who never won the WWE Championship during his career, got to be the last one in the ring that night. Since then there's never been a midcard wrestler who's even got a sniff of the main event of Wrestlemania.
