10 Ric Flair Stories So Crazy That They Must Be True

If you're thinking it, The Nature Boy has probably done it...

Ask any active or former pro wrestler who their favourite performers are, and there's a good chance that the name Ric Flair will be on that list. Heralded by fans and peers alike as one of the greatest of all time, 'The Nature Boy' has left an in-ring legacy behind which is second to none.

Of course, it's impossible to think that a character as over-the-top and in-your-face as Ric Flair hasn't made enemies, but even his worst critics would say of his antics, "that's just Ric being Ric". The sheer volume of memorable matches the man has been involved in, from classic battles against Ricky Steamboat, Sting, Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race, to more modern examples such as his bouts opposite The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, is truly insane.

Receiving one of the biggest send-offs in living memory by WWE in 2008, Flair had apparently retired, only to return less than a year later, irking quite a few people in the process. It's not only inside the squared circle where the man has turned heads however, Flair's party mentality is legendary, and has led to a plethora of stories and urban legends over the years.

Just this week, at the age of 67, he caused another scene when he was detained at an airport for reasons which are still unclear. Guess it was just Ric being Ric...

This list includes some of the best Flair stories from years gone by, ones which even the most jaded wrestling fan must admit, sure sounds a hell of a lot like The Nature Boy.

Wooooooo!
