10 Ridiculous Comics Starring Wrestlers

5. Goldberg And Friends Are...S.L.A.M. Force!

Having spectacularly fallen flat on their faces with their previous WCW comics, Marvel tried something completely different when it came to SLAM Force (which, in case you're wondering, stands for Secret Legion Against Monsters...Force) in 2000. Again, this was a comic that was supposed to be a monthly deal, but only got as far as a preview that was designed to get kids to buy the latest range of WCW action figures. But again, the preview has enough ridiculousness to be getting on with. Starring some of the company's biggest stars at the time - Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Chris Benoit - the only remaining SLAM Force story sees the assembled wrestlers being tooled up with some weird sci-fi weaponry and tasked with taking down the evil Dr Von Ghoul. Hm, now that we look at the name, writing "evil" before it seems kinda unnecessary. Sadly we were robbed of the opportunity of seeing Sting shoot demons with a futuristic super gun, apparently due to Benoit's leaving for the WWF the same year.
