10 Ridiculous Stephanie McMahon Ego Trips

8. Extremely Crappy Wrestling

Inarguably one of the most memorable editions of Monday Night Raw ever but arguably for all the wrong reasons, the July 9th 2001 edition of Raw attempted something of a hard reset on a largely bungled introduction of WCW talent onto the main roster as part of a (loosely) hostile takeover.

The show opened with a Diamond Dallas Page/Undertaker contest that saw Shane McMahon and the remainder of his WCW invaders sensibly turn heel alongside the stalker Page, at least finally attuning the group with how the fans viewed them. Later that night, Paul Heyman revealed he'd in fact assembled former members of the ECW roster to take down both WWE and WCW, before joining Shane in a swerve turn at the end of the night that saw the two factions combine to form one 'Alliance' to topple Vince's empire.

It was exhilarating stuff, but a lot to manage in one night. But the real twist fans cared about was still to come, head of creative Stephanie McMahon told herself.

Whilst Vince looked on in disbelief at his decimated crew and the mammoth new threat of the collected WCW and ECW stars, Shane McMahon revealed that the Extreme brand had a new owner - his ostracised little sister.

Looking even more out of place in a leather Kangol hat than her husband, the only thing more sickening than her smirk was the knowledge she'd scripted it all herself.
