10 Ridiculous WWE Moments You Might Have Missed
6. Undertaker And Paul Bearer Attempt To Embalm Stone Cold
Most of the Ministry of Darkness' antics have been well documented, but one particular obscure moment during the Ministry's early days is as terrifying as it is ridiculous.
As Stone Cold Steve Austin was healing in a hospital room from a concussion received at the hands of The Dead Man, Paul Bearer and his naughty son broke in and used ether to force Austin into a lifeless state. The pair was then seen loading Austin into the back of a hearse, later pictured at a cemetery.
Undertaker proceeded to drag Austin from the hearse and shove him into an empty grave in an attempt to bury him alive. Although Austin came to (what convenient timing) and struggled out of the situation, he was again put under and lugged to a funeral home. This is where things go full-on batsh*t crazy.
Because apparently being buried alive was too good for the Rattlesnake, 'Taker and Bearer decide that embalming - preserving human remains for the intention of public display - was much more suitable.
Their efforts may have been foiled by Kane - and Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler tried their darnedest to ruin the mood - but the angle was utterly chilling for fans who had been rarely exposed to angles this dark on a professional wrestling show.
