For those unfamiliar with the name, Zach Gowen is a professional wrestler who lost his left leg to cancer at the age of eight. As a genuine inspiration, Gowen managed to ascend to WWE and even featured in a story alongside Hulk Hogan (as Mr America).

Insert Vince McMahon and his sick sense of humour.

Following an extremely distasteful feud with Vince during which the chairman openly made fun of Gowen's handicap and defeated him at Vengeance in 2003, Gowen found himself pitted against The Next Big Thing, Brock Lesnar.

Gowen won the match by disqualification when Lesnar began wielding a steel chair, kayfabe breaking his opponent's leg and leaving him a bloody mess on the floor. All in front of Gowen's mother at ringside.

Lesnar continued his assault on Gowen the following week by throwing him down a flight of stairs. This was pretty much the end of Gowen and six months later he was released from WWE. How inspirational.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
