10 Risks That Could’ve KILLED WWE Careers

You'd be forgiven for sitting there thinking, '...but what else was this guy gonna do?'. That's fair, 'cause NXT's LA Knight couldn't exactly look main roster management in the eye and say, 'Nah, I'm staying put' when they offered to call him up under a new gimmick. So, Max Dupri was born, but not for too long.

Knight clearly detested the new guise, but he was willing to suffer temporarily then show everyone what he was capable of down the line. His brief stay as head of Maximum Male Models convinced no-one, but it did enable LA to showcase his dynamic personality in front of the cameras here or there.

Once WWE's writers lost interest in MMM (say it out loud), Knight knew it was his time to strike. His risk had paid off when it easily could've wrecked his company dreams for good. Now, his LA Knight persona is so engaging that hardly anyone even brings up Dupri at all.

Good riddance, Max.
