10 ROH Stars Who Made It Big In WWE

5. AJ Styles

AJ Styles became a star in TNA, but his first real break in professional wrestling - save for a handful of appearances in end-time WCW - came courtesy of Ring of Honor, where he performed, on and off, for about five years beginning in 2002.

The Phenomenal One never quite got his hands on the company's biggest prize, but he accomplished just about everything else, winning the Pure Championship and the Tag Team Titles alongside Amazing Red, with whom he left to join TNA at almost exactly the same time.

Although he didn't stay the course, AJ is credited with a hand in the early success that saw the promotion fill the role of number one independent promotion in the US, and his matches alongside the likes of Low Ki won't be forgotten from the ROH history books in a hurry.
