10 Saddest TNA Departures

10. Christopher Daniels

From 2002 to 2010, Christopher Daniels was one of the most valuable members of the TNA roster. During that time he put on some of the best matches in the company, including 2005s match of the year with A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe at Unbreakable. But when Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff came in, he was tossed aside to make room for the Orlando Jordans and Val Venis of the world.

Luckily he came back at the last taping of 2011, and soon joined The Fourtune stable. But it was his pairing with Kazarian that really made his personality shine. Somehow Daniels reached his peak as a character in his 40s. Bad Influence was arguably the best tag team in all of wrestling, and they deserved a lengthy run with the gold for their efforts. But they didnt get it.

The duo unceremoniously dropped the belts to Hernandez and WWE cast-off Chavo Guerrero, and were pushed down the card after that. In 2014, Daniels left the company, while less talented duos like The BroMans stuck around. His departure immediately made Impact less entertaining, and it was a sad way for such a respected and talented veteran to go out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
