10 Saving Graces Of WWE Programming In 2017
1. Braun Strowman
If you want to talk about an unexpected breakout star in 2017, look no further than Braun Strowman. He showed some signs of potential upon re-debuting as a singles star in mid-2016, but it wasn't until his feud with Roman Reigns that he emerged as one to watch on Monday nights.
The matches alone were awesome, but more importantly, Strowman's countless attacks on Reigns led to some of the most GIF-worthy moments in recent Raw history. Who could forget when he threw a chair in the face of The Big Dog, or tipped an ambulance over with him inside it, or viciously shoved him off the top of the stage?
Reigns wasn't the only Superstar to feel Strowman's wrath last year. Big Show was put through the ring and a steel cage while Brock Lesnar was laid out on multiple occasions, all at the hands of The Monster Among Men. Unsurprisingly, these various assaults turned him babyface at the close of 2017, and now he finds himself in contention for the Universal Championship yet again.
Raw without Braun Strowman would be pure punishment, so fingers crossed he continues to be a major focal point of the program in the new year and never stops destroying dudes in spectacular fashion.
