10 Second Generation Wrestlers That Should Have Known Better

7. Bronwyne Billington

Following the trend of so many ex-performers with any links to the Hart Family in either becoming a wrestler or marrying one, Bronwynne Billington did both.

Performing on the independent circuit, she has worked mainly as a valet on the independent fringes of professional wrestling as the 'Dynamite Doll' alongside husband 'Dynamite' Dan Myers.

The branding pays tribute to her father Tom 'Dynamite Kid' Billington. Throughout the 1980s, he was one of the most dynamic and innovative wrestlers on the planet. His matches for Stampede Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling between 1978 and 1984 are essential viewing even now. Packing farcical muscle onto his short and stocky frame, Billington looked like a grizzled street fighter but could fly with the grace of a cruiserweight. If he wasn't driving somebody through the ring with a wicked snap suplex, he was throwing himself onto it with his awe-inspiring diving headbutt.

His story is one of karmic tragedy. Generally considered one of the nastier individuals in professional wrestling, he was involved in several real-life fights with wrestlers backstage due to his fragile temperament, and amongst other abusive acts towards his ex-wife Michelle once admitted to holding a gun in front her face so that when she awoke, he could laugh, suggesting 'next time, it would be loaded'. After years of physical abuse in the ring and drug abuse out of it, his body gave up on him, and in 1997 he lost the use of his left leg and took up use of a wheelchair he remains in to this day.

Largely ostracised, the business he gave much to has seen little reason to give back, and his daughter's decision to enter it herself only seems more mystifying.
